PSU Catering Shoot

Over the past few years we’ve become increasingly known for our wedding and portraiture work which keeps us very busy.  That doesn’t leave a lot of time to be doing commercial or product photography.  So, when the opportunity arises, it definitely is a nice change of pace.  Yesterday I was on campus at Findley Commons in East Halls photographing some food for Penn State Campus Catering.  They were formerly known as Java Catering and along with a name change comes a whole new marketing campaign including website, and of course, photos.  It was a fun shoot that made me really, REALLY hungry.  I found out that some of the food had been treated to make it look better in the photos and some was not even made with the stuff it was supposed to look like but that certainly wouldn’t have stopped me from sampling the goods had that been allowed :)  So through the aroma of barbecue sauce and chocolate I persevered and got some fantastic, mouth-watering shots.  Bon appetit! – Joel

Morgan – Senior Vogue Session

Hello Lady Goldie Miss Morgan!  Last night was a fun “vogue” session.   Morgan makes her photographic debut in this gold vintage dress and red patent pumps.  She is number two of the lucky seven girls to be photographed as this year’s J&A senior reps.  I know Morgan had been looking forward to her vogue session for quite awhile.  She really played the part like a pro!  A sports tom-boy transforms into this classic vintage beauty!  I definitely had a lot of fun doing this session, and I think it’s safe to say that Morgan did too.  Great job, Morgan!  : )  - Andrea

Brandy and Paul’s Wedding – April 9, 2011

Brandy and Paul are another really nice couple that we had the pleasure of working with over the past year. From the first meeting, to theengagement sessionand through all the wedding planning we knew they were going to be a fun couple – and the wedding definitely did not let us down! Spring seems to be running a little bit late this year and we didn’t have the foliage and flowers we (and Brandy) were hoping for, but we planned accordingly and worked with the color we were able to find.

Krista’s Senior Photos – State College Portrait Photography

Had a great session with Krista last night!  She is the first out of seven senior gals to pose for some portfolio photos.  Krista is definitely a natural in front of the camera.  Her soft beautiful smiles came effortlessly throughout the photo shoot.  We also tried some low-key edgy looks on our new gold background.  Maybe it was the help of having her best bud Erin (another senior from the lucky seven) there to make her feel at home.  Either way the camera loves her!  Great job Krista.  : )  I’m really looking forward to the rest of the photo shoots!  - Andrea
